🇺🇸 Spartans Explore History in Washington, D.C. & Williamsburg! 🇺🇸

Our students recently returned from an unforgettable educational journey through some of our nation's most significant historical sites in Washington, D.C. and Williamsburg, Virginia!

Throughout the week, students had the opportunity to bring their classroom learning to life as they explored museums, monuments, and landmarks that have shaped American history.

Highlights from the trip included:
⭐ Visiting the Smithsonian National Museum of American History
⭐ Touring the Washington Monument and Lincoln Memorial
⭐ Exploring George Washington's home at Mount Vernon
⭐ Walking through Arlington National Cemetery
⭐ Taking in breathtaking views from the Capital Wheel at National Harbor
⭐ Enjoying a special Capitol Tour led by Abby, a Bentonville High School graduate and University of Arkansas student intern
⭐ Visiting the Library of Congress and the National Archives
⭐ Experiencing living history at Jamestown Settlement and Colonial Williamsburg
⭐ Reflecting on the lessons of history at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum
⭐ Discovering innovation and exploration at the National Air and Space Museum

From the founding of our nation to the challenges and triumphs that have shaped our country, students gained a deeper appreciation for America's rich heritage while creating memories that will last a lifetime.

We are grateful for the teachers, chaperones, and families who helped make this incredible learning experience possible. What an amazing opportunity for our Spartans to walk through history and see firsthand the places they've studied in the classroom!

📣 Spartan Cheer Camp Success! 📣

Our Founders Classical Academy of Bentonville Cheer Team had an incredible time at UCA-B2 Cheer Camp hosted at Bentonville West High School on June 16-17!

Over the two-day camp, our cheerleaders worked hard learning a new cheer, dance routine, and stunts while building teamwork, leadership, and school spirit.

🌟 PASS THE PRAISE 🌟

This week, we're passing the praise to two very special members of our Founders family—Mrs. Herndon and Miss Bussiere! 💙

As we captured our 8th graders' final days through the halls, we asked students what they would miss most about Founders. One student didn't hesitate to say that they would miss Mrs. Herndon the most. Her kindness, encouragement, and the relationships she builds with students make a lasting impact long after they leave her classroom.

Another student shared that Miss Bussiere gives the best hugs! 🤗 Anyone who knows Miss Bussiere knows that her warm smile and caring heart help students feel supported, valued, and loved every day.

The influence of great teachers can be seen in moments like these. Thank you, Mrs. Herndon and Miss Bussiere, for the difference you make in the lives of our students and for helping create a school community where students feel known and cared for.

🎉 THAT’S A WRAP! 🎉

Our Crazy 8s Math Club just crushed our final three sessions, and WOW… we went out with a BANG! 💥

From architecture to agriculture to high-seas adventure, these amazing mathletes leveled up their skills while proving that math is anything but boring! 🧠✨

🏰 Session 6: Forts & Fencing!
Students became master builders by rolling paper “beams” and stacking multiples of factors to create epic forts! But the real challenge? A math duel! ⚔️ Using lightning-fast multiplication, repeat addition, factors, logic, and multiples, students defended their territory and sharpened their skills along the way. Knowing your math really is the ultimate defense strategy! 💪

🤠 Session 7: Cowabunga, Farmers!
Next, our students traded calculators for cowboy hats as they tackled ranch math! 🚜🌾 By exploring area, perimeter, number patterns, and rectangle properties, they discovered how the same amount of fencing can create very different-sized fields. These young mathematicians cracked the code to giving their “herds” the most room to roam! 🐄✨

🏴‍☠️ Session 8: Pirate Treasure Hunt!
We wrapped up the season as high-seas explorers! 🦜⚓ Armed with coordinate grids and probability skills, students plotted maps and raced to uncover hidden treasure before anyone else. Just like real-world navigators, pilots, and captains, they used math to guide their journey to victory! 🧭🗺️

🏆 To celebrate an incredible season, every student received their very own compass, an official certificate of completion, and a fun temporary tattoo to recognize all their hard work and dedication!

We are SO proud of these students for embracing challenges, growing their confidence, and showing that math is not just a subject — it’s an adventure! 🚀🥳

🎒✨ Kindergarten Orientation was a wonderful success today at Founders Classical Academy of Bentonville! ✨🎒

Our incoming Kindergarten students got their very first taste of school life as they explored the classroom, played with teachers, met new friends, and enjoyed an introduction to all the excitement Kindergarten has to offer. The smiles, laughter, and curiosity made for such a special day!

Meanwhile, parents attended an informative session focused on “what to expect” and “how to prepare” for a successful Kindergarten year. We loved partnering with families as they begin this exciting educational journey with us.

Families also had the opportunity to browse some fantastic new merchandise from our amazing FCA Bentonville PTO — thank you for helping make today even more special!

We are already looking forward to welcoming our newest scholars to campus this fall! ❤️💙
