As we recognize National Police Week, we want to take a moment to thank our community for the support, compassion, and encouragement you continue to show our police officers.
Recently our community was reminded how quickly tragedy can strike. During times like this it is important for communities to come together and support each other. We have seen neighbors supporting neighbors, citizens checking on each other, and an outpouring of kindness and support toward our officers and other first responders who responded during an incredibly difficult situation. Our thoughts remain with the families, friends, and everyone impacted by this heartbreaking incident.
National Police Week is a time to honor the service and sacrifice of law enforcement officers across our country, but it is also a reminder that our mission is ultimately about people - protecting life, serving others, and helping communities heal during moments of tragedy.
On behalf of our department, thank you for the trust and support you continue to give us. It means more than words can express. Please continue to keep the victims’ families, all those affected by this tragedy, and the first responders who answered the call in your thoughts and prayers.
