Hey everyone, please see the transportation cabinet post below related to some roadway construction planned for Big Hill Road (KY 21) beginning on August 21, and possibly lasting several months.

If you must travel this route, please be safe and courteous to construction crew, and be mindful of possible delays.

We were proud to be able to deploy 3 of our swift water technicians to Jackson County today to help with swift water rescues. With help from many of the surrounding counties, many people were rescued from dangerous high water situations. This is a scary reminder how dangerous swift water can really be. As more rain is in the forecast, we beg you to please stay weather aware and do not try to cross flooded roadways. Help keep us safe by keeping yourself safe.

When you think of a fire truck, you probably think big and shiny. Well thanks to Madison Southern cheerleaders, our engine 4 got extra shiny. We love supporting groups in our community! Thanks again!!

This week, fire departments from Berea, Madison County, Richmond ,Nicholasville, Frankfort and Shelbyville came together right here in Berea to have a trench rescue class! A little rain won’t keep us from bettering ourselves to serve our communities.
