Joint drill tonight with Bergton Fire Department

We are holding our monthly meeting tonight. We hold these meetings every month on the first Tuesday at 7:00pm. Anyone that is interested in learning more about the operations of the rescue squad is welcome to join us!

Thankful that we could be there when our community needed us. We had 73 emergency medical responses and 7 standbys in 2025.

Thankful for those who agreed to dedicate their time (meetings, chores, training, and responses). More hands makes the job easier. Five new members joined this year (Will, Nick, Glenn, Bill, Anna) and have been integrating into our call responses.

Thankful for the donations that our community makes to us. Those donations made it possible to purchase an autoload stretcher lifter this year. Saving our strength to get patients into the ambulance.

Thankful for the help we get from the Bergton Fire Department. Their members respond to most of our medical calls and provide valuable assistance to patient care on scene.

Thankful that the Fulks Run Station 12 RCFR came on line this year. When we can't be there, help is little bit closer.

Thankful for the support we get from our parent organization Rescue 50. They cover the bills for the station here in Bergton, provide for the maintenance of our ambulances, manage the administrative load to keep our license valid with the State of Virginia.

Thankful that we can do this again in 2026. Our elected officer lineup for next year: Captain - John Elwood, 2nd LT - Tony Layman, 3rd LT Cecilia Elwood, Sec/Treasurer - Lynette Layman
