Air Force ROTC Detachment 085 at UC Berkeley

Air Force ROTC Detachment 085 at UC Berkeley Detachment 085 is a dynamic AFROTC unit, co-located with Army and Navy ROTC detachments in the middle of the UC Berkeley campus.

The purpose of Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC) is to produce leaders for the Air Force. To accomplish this, the Air Force has established a rigorous training program to prepare you to lead. You’ll learn about Air Force history, core values, leadership and teamwork in both the classroom and the field. You’ll push yourself physically, harder than you’ve ever been pushed before. You

’ll learn to think quickly under pressure and to focus on accomplishing your goals. If you successfully complete this program, you’ll become a leader--a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Air Force.
