Upcoming exhibit and installation at City College Chinatown Campus curated and created by Vida Kuang featuring rich research and archives!

"Come join us for the opening reception of Holding Half the Sky 頂半邊天, a photo exhibit and installation honoring the 50th anniversary of the groundbreaking strike led by 135 Asian immigrant garment workers in San Francisco, which led to a year of picketing and multiple arrests.

On view into March 2025 at City College's Chinatown Campus, next door to the former Jung Sai Garment Factory, the exhibit shows San Francisco’s labor movement as seen through the lens of Asian immigrant women and is in attestment to the prowess of women workers in Chinatown.

《Holding Half the Sky

STRIKE! HUELGA! “If you are not afraid, join us. If you are afraid, this isn’t the place for you!” A photo exhibit and art installation honoring the 50th anniversary of the groundbreaking Jung Sai Garment Workers strike and an attestment to the prowess of Asian women workers!
