🌳🛝 When we updated our 5-Year Parks and Recreation Master Plan, community feedback made it clear that we should explore potential uses for the green space behind the current Community Center building.

As we work to implement the plan, the top three options to explore for this space are a Community Center expansion, a community pool, or a dog park.

We want to hear from you! Please take a moment to choose your top priority and let us know what you would like to see studied further. Reach out to the department at 248-658-3470 if you have any questions! The direct link for the survey is below!

Good afternoon, Berkley. Last night’s gas leak on Dorothea between Mortenson and Ferris has been taken care of and everyone is safe. Thank you to Public Safety and Public Works for working all night to evacuate homes, clear trees from the road, and keep our community safe after the storm. We also appreciate the prompt and professional response from Consumers Energy.

If your power is out, please report your address via DTE’s online outage center to help make sure that crews prioritize our area: https://outage.dteenergy.com/report-outage

As you travel today, please remember that if a traffic signal is dark, the intersection needs to be treated as a 4-way stop. Assume any downed power lines are live and stay at least 30-50 feet away to stay safe. Do not touch anything a downed power line is touching.

Additionally, if you come across a tree in the road, do not try to move it yourself, and call Public Safety at 248-658-3380 or DPW at 248-658-3490 to report it.

DPW is working around the city to clear downed trees from the streets and the right-of-ways (ROWs). If you have a downed tree on your property, please place material at your curb by July 13 for the City’s regular chipper service.

Thank you for working together to keep our community safe!
