Happy Father’s Day from Berkley Fire/Rescue!

Today we celebrate all the dads, grandfathers, stepdads, foster fathers, and father figures who help shape our families and our community through their hard work, guidance, and support.

We would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the many fire, police, EMS, public works, and other participating departments, as well as the residents of Berkley and our surrounding communities, for helping make today’s Father’s Day Parade another tremendous success. The strong support from our community and our public safety partners is what makes events like this possible year after year.

Thank you to everyone who participated, attended, and helped celebrate the day with us.

From all of us at Berkley Fire/Rescue, we wish everyone a safe, happy, and enjoyable Father’s Day!

At approximately 7pm this evening Berkley A-2 was dispatched mutual aid to Freetown at the Ledge inside the state forest for a motorcycle accident.

Just prior to 7pm this evening Freetown was dispatched to the area of “The Ledge” in the Freetown State Forest for a motorcycle rider involved in an accident.

At the time both Freetown Ambulances and the duty crew were committed to other medical emergencies.

Freetown Police assisted with locating the patient who was treated and extricated from the forest with UTV 2 to a waiting mutual
aid ambulance from Berkley Fire & Rescue.

Today we had the pleasure of welcoming Berkley Middle School 5th grader Caroline Musante to Berkley Fire/Rescue.

As part of a school project focused on making a positive difference in the community, Caroline put together several thoughtful gift baskets containing a stuffed animal and a heartfelt note written by her. These baskets will be carried on our emergency vehicles and given to children who may be experiencing the loss of a home due to fire or who have been involved in a serious emergency.

Acts of kindness like this can make a difficult day a little easier for a child, and we are incredibly grateful for Caroline's compassion and generosity.

Thank you, Caroline, for thinking of others and for making a difference in our community. We are proud of the example you have set!

Today, we had a great time hosting the Berkley Middle School TLC class for a visit to Berkley Fire/Rescue!

The students got to meet FF Greco and FF Dupuis, try on firefighting gear, check out the fire trucks and ambulance, and learn a little about what we do every day. They asked some fantastic questions and had plenty of smiles along the way.

We even talked their teacher into trying on some fire gear, which may have been the highlight of the visit!

Thanks to the TLC class and staff for stopping by. We loved having you at the station and hope everyone had as much fun as we did! 🚒❤️

Today, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women of our Armed Forces who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Their courage, dedication, and selflessness secured the freedoms we enjoy each and every day.

From all of us at Berkley Fire/Rescue, we also extend our deepest gratitude to all active duty service members, veterans, and retired members of the Armed Forces for their continued service and sacrifice to our nation.

We ask our community to take a moment this Memorial Day to reflect on the true meaning of the holiday and remember those who never made it home.

May we never forget their sacrifice.
