COMMUNITY AIR CONDITIONER DRIVE FOR SENIORS

Berkley Air Conditioner Drive for Seniors
June 30 – July 31, 2025
The Town of Berkley is launching a summer pilot program to provide window air conditioners to seniors who need help staying cool.
How to Help:
✅ Donate a clean, working window unit (must be 5 years old or newer)
✅ Drop-off: Berkley Police Station, 3 N Main St
✅ Ship a new A/C from Amazon or Home Depot directly to the station
✅ Make a tax-deductible donation to Town of Berkley (memo: “air conditioner drive for seniors”)
Eligibility & Process:
• Open to Berkley senior residents only
• First come, first served
• Police and Fire/EMS will handle delivery and installation
• Recipient names/addresses will remain confidential
• To request an A/C: email [email protected]
This is a pilot program. If we receive more requests than units, we’ll explore expanded funding for 2026. If surplus units remain, we will store them safely for emergency backup, future distribution or send a request for other families in Berkley who may be in need.
Special thanks to the Berkley Police Department, our Fire and EMS teams with support from the Town Hall and Council on Aging for leading this important initiative.
