The last day to apply and establish eligibility for the Connecticut Energy Assistance Program (CEAP) is May 29, 2026!

Below are the methods to apply:
Online portal: The CEAP online portal will close on May 29, 2026 at 11:59 PM
In-person applications: must be received by May 29, 2026
Telephonic applications: must be completed by May 29, 2026
Emailed applications: must be sent/postmarked no later than May 29, 2026 at 11:59 PM
Mailed applications: must be postmarked no later than May 29, 2026

Tomorrow, Wednesday, May 27th at 1pm we will host our annual Community Outreach event. Town leaders and Directors from many departments will be here to speak about the programs and services available to the community. Representatives include the Superintendent’s Office, Town Manager, Town Clerk, Berlin Police Dept, Fire Dept, Parks and Rec., Library, Social Services, Senior Services, Berlin VNA, and the Central CT Health District. This is an excellent fact finding event and one you will not want to miss!

☕️ Friday’s Coffee Hour with Town Manager Ryan Curley was a great opportunity for our seniors to connect, ask questions, and stay informed about what’s happening in our community!

Ryan visits the Senior Center once a month to listen, share updates, and have meaningful conversations with residents. We appreciate his time, openness, and commitment to keeping our seniors engaged and informed. 😊

Every May, our Commission For Aging hosts our annual Spring Social to celebrate Older Americans Month! 🌸🎶🍔

This year’s theme was a fun Retro Diner, featuring awesome music from The Boomers 🎸🎤 and a delicious dinner from Zack’s Burgers and Shakes 🍔🍟🥤.

The night was filled with great music that brought lots of hand clapping 👏, toe tapping 👞, and plenty of dancing 💃🕺! Guests enjoyed cheeseburgers, fries, and ice cream sandwiches to top off a wonderful evening 🍦❤️
A great time was had by all as we celebrated community, friendship, and the amazing older adults in our town!
