Stuff-a-Cruiser Food Drive is Back!
The Berlin Police Department and Social & Youth Services are teaming up for another great Stuff-a-Cruiser Food Drive!

📅 Saturday, October 24, 2026 | 10:00 am-3:00 pm
📍 Stop & Shop 1135 Farmington Ave., Berlin

Come visit us and help stuff the cruiser by donating non-perishable food items! 100% of your donations will go directly to the Berlin Food Pantry, helping us continue to support individuals and families in our community.

Summer may be winding down, but Berlin Social & Youth Services has been busy! We’re excited to share a look back at some of the programs, services, and community support that made this summer special. From fun-filled youth programs and summer adventures to supporting 170 families through the Berlin Food Pantry, our department has been proud to serve the Berlin community! 🐾 Did you know August is National Dog Month? 🐾

Join Berlin Youth Services for an exciting afternoon celebrating our four-legged friends! Students will have the opportunity to meet Berlin’s official K-9 officers, watch a live K-9 demonstration, ask questions, and learn more about what these amazing dogs do.
After the demonstration, students will get to meet the K-9 officer up close and make a dog toy to be donated to an animal in need!

WHO: Students entering 1st–4th grade
WHEN: Thursday, August 20 | 2:00–4:00 PM
WHERE: Berlin Community Center

Thank you to everyone who joined Berlin Youth Services yesterday for our Ocean Adventure: Exploring a Coral Reef program at the Berlin Community Center!

Participants learned all about the amazing world of coral reefs and the incredible creatures that call them home. They then put their creativity to work by designing their own colorful coral reefs using air-dry clay and colored pasta. As a special treat, everyone also enjoyed making a delicious Ocean Graham Cracker Treat for snack!

We had so much fun exploring, creating, and learning together. Thank you to all of our wonderful participants for making the program such a success!

A huge thank you to the Ryan T. Lee Memorial Foundation for hosting its annual Food Drive on Sunday, July 12, in support of the Berlin Food Pantry!
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, a box truck was filled to capacity with food donations that will help stock the pantry and support local families in need. In addition to the food donations, an amazing $1,895 in Stop & Shop gift cards was also collected to help provide essential groceries.
We are truly grateful to the Ryan T. Lee Memorial Foundation for its continued dedication, compassion, and unwavering commitment to supporting the Berlin Food Pantry and the residents we serve. Your generosity makes a meaningful difference in the lives of so many in our community.
Thank you to everyone who donated and helped make this year's food drive such a tremendous success!

Berlin Social and Youth Services would love to say thank you to the Ryan T. Lee Memorial Foundation for having the 15th Annual Food Drive to support the Berlin Food Pantry!

For the past 15 years for Ryan’s Birthday, friends, family, and our community come together to support each other with the goal to restock the shelves at the Berlin Food Bank. Ryan loved to eat and what better way to honor him for his Birthday. Sunday July 12th please stop by between the hours for 8am and 6pm at Stop and Shop on Farmington Avenue. The need is great. Every little bit helps. See you there. 💜

A huge thank you to Bradley Mountain Farm for hosting our Berlin Youth Summer Adventures group for an unforgettable day of Goat Yoga and Soap Making on June 25th!

Our participants had an amazing time meeting and interacting with the friendly goats, stretching through some fun yoga poses, and getting creative while making their own handmade soaps. It was a day filled with laughter, learning, and wonderful memories.

Thank you for providing such a unique and welcoming experience for our youth. We can't wait to visit again!
