Hello Everyone,
Many of you may already know that on Easter morning, the Berlin Community lost a very important person, and we lost a great friend.
Mark lost his battle with Leukemia a day after his 74th Birthday.
Mark was a quiet man, but he was always a voice of reason. He was always the first to offer his help whether it was for the Berlin Rotary Club where he served as Secretary, The Berlin ICCA 4th of July Parade Assoc where he served as Vice President, DBRC or to support a friend. We will miss him greatly and we are all better people because we had Mark in in our lives.

Mark E. von der Tann Obituary
Mark von der Tann, born in 1952, of Berlin, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2026. Mark was a man of few words, but his presence spoke volumes. He was someone everyone enjoyed being around- steady, kind, and genuinely liked by all who knew him. His quiet nature and warm spirit left a lasting impression on family and friends alike.
For much of his life, Mark worked in the insurance business, a career he truly enjoyed. He took pride in his work and built lasting relationships through his dedication and reliability. He also had a special appreciation for the women he worked with over the years, often referring to them as “the girls,” who became like family to him.
Mark was deeply committed to his community, particularly through his involvement with the Berlin Rotary, where he valued both the service and the friendships he built.
A devoted fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, Mark’s passion for his team spanned more than 50 years as a dedicated season ticket holder. He cherished attending games and sharing those experiences with loved ones, creating memories that will be treasured for generations. He also loved to play golf in his free time which was his happy place.
Mark is survived by his beloved wife, Terri von der Tann; his three sons, Randy von der Tann (wife Rachel von der Tann), Chad von der Tann, (wife Kathy von der Tann), and Justin von der Tann; and his three cherished grandchildren, Connor von der Tann, Brooke von der Tann, and Olivia von der Tann. He is also survived by his two sisters, Kim Dillich, and Leeanne English.
Mark’s legacy lives on through the family he loved deeply and the many lives he touched simply by being himself.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Friday, April 10, 2026 from 6:00 to 7:30PM at the COSTANTINO-PRIMO FUNERAL HOME, 231 W. White Horse Pike, Berlin NJ 08009. Funeral Service will begin at 7:30PM at the funeral home. Interment will take place privately.
