Today marks the 211th day of the year, making it the perfect opportunity to raise awareness about 211, the three-digit number people can call to connect with local resources, services, and support.
When New Hampshire residents call 211, they can connect with trained specialists who help identify available resources and provide referrals to programs and services that may address their immediate needs.
When callers in Coรถs, Carroll, or Grafton Counties identify as experiencing homelessness or housing instability, those referrals are routed to TCCAP's Housing Stability team for follow-up and assistance. As the regional access point for homelessness and housing stability services in the Tri-County region, TCCAP helps connect individuals and families with information, resources, and support during times of need.
Between July 1, 2025, and May 27, 2026, TCCAP's Housing Stability team responded to more than 260 211 calls and referrals related to homelessness and housing stability, impacting more than 350 individuals throughout the region.
"Our goal is to provide responsive feedback based on what a participant discloses and empower them to address their situation and support them as they access resources and resolve their housing crisis," said Erik Becker, TCCAP Housing Stability Director.
If you are seeking assistance or helping someone connect with resources, there are a few simple ways to help ensure a timely response. Full voicemail boxes and incorrect phone numbers are among the leading reasons staff are unable to follow up with individuals in need.
โข Make the call
โข Ensure voicemail is set up and able to receive messages
โข Confirm the phone number provided belongs to the person seeking assistance
The more people who know about 211, the more opportunities there are to connect individuals and families with the help they need.
