Our cadets attended a tower night this week in Newington working hands-on with hose deployment, fire attack, and search techniques. This begins putting together weeks of equipment, apparatus, and fire ground safety review.

Cadets are high school students 16 to 18 years old who have an interest in the fire service. They participate in much of the same training as regular members and assist during incident responses, fundraising activities, and special events.

Truck 9 was out this evening for a lost cat on Route 5 South.
After a brief search in the woods and a bit of ladder work this super happy girl got reunited with their owner.

We would like to thank all those who took a chance with yesterday's weather to attended our annual show.
Although we couldn't beat the rain the love and support from our vendors, car and equipment owners, attendees, and supporting departments kept the day bright!

This afternoon the town's fire departments were on hand for the 2026 Upbeat Picinic at the Berlin Fair Grounds. Despite the early rain the turnout was great!

At 02:29 this morning the town's four fire departments responded to a rear yard on Main Street in East Berlin for a 10x10 shed fire. Personnel operated for an hour to extinguish and overhaul the shed.
The Berlin Fire Marshals Office investigated and believe the cause was electrical in nature.
There were no injuries and the fire was contained to the shed and a small portion of fence.
