Berlin Police, Fire, and EMS need your help for our first ever National Night Out for the Borough of Berlin!

For the first time ever, our community will participate in National Night Out. What is that? National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, better places to live.

This is a fun event with many activities, food, and more, and could use all the dedicated hands we can get to make the Police, Fire, and EMS’s event the best it can be for our community.

Thousands of communities across the nation come together each year to hold NNO, and we are honored to be a part of it for our community.

So we are creating a list of volunteers to assist in Berlin’s NNO event to be held August 2nd. Meetings will be held every two weeks starting in May.

Please contact me directly at [email protected] to sign up to help. Please include your name and phone number and we will contact you personally. We need at least 25 volunteers to help make this event a great success.

Chair of this event is Sargent Mike Miller and assistance with Officer Eric Wolf, and members from the Fire Department and EMS. Come help be a part of a great team and something really special for our community.

We would also love assistance from our Rotary, Knights of Columbus, Lions, VFW and more! So please help bring together our Police, Fire, EMS, and community together in this very special event!

The Borough of Berlin Celebration Advisory Committee would like to share with you a video created by one of our members and winner of this year’s 2016 Community Achievement Award from Mr. Richard Holmes and GP Entertainment from our Easter Eggstravaganza.

We only expected 300-400 and had so many more. While we have learned some valuable lessons for our first event event, I think this video shows how great it was and thank GP Entertainment and all of our business and community groups for participating in such a great event. Next year…look out…and the issues we had this year will be fixed for next year.

As you know we removed the “group” and made a “page” to comply with our social media policy. So if you were removed from the “group” you will understand why. We had to remove all of the “members” to delete the “group.”

Already planning next year's set up. 😋😋😋

Hi Friends,
I personally wanted to thank you all for coming out to our first Easter Eggstravaganza. While we have learned some valuable lessons from this first time event, we also where only expecting about 300-400 people.

We could not have imagined the tremendous support the community gave for this event and sincerely thank you for your patience. While everything inside was smooth, we could have done a much better job with our egg hunt…and will ensure a much bigger space, more crowd control, and organize it even better to accommodate so many people.

We had close to 1400+ people attend…and everything else went off without a hitch. But we will make sure next year’s Egg hunt is much more organized to handle that many people. So thank you again for your patience with us as this was also a learning experience for us as well.

Thank you all so much for supporting the Borough of Berlin!
