Nathan Strong Park is a 1.6-acre neighborhood park that is located east of the downtown. Surrounded by many large and historically important homes from Berlin’s past, the park is a focal point for local parades, festivities, the annual Lighted Christmas Trees in the Park event, and roadside travelers. It is also home to the Berlin Farmers & Artists Market https://berlinfarmersmarket.net/ which is opening for the season TODAY!!
Facilitates in the park include a Victorian gazebo with electricity which makes for a great wedding venue or music shelter, an 1800’s War Memorial, lighted fountain, picnic tables and benches, newly built restrooms, play equipment, drinking fountain, lighted walkways, authentic Civil War cannons and beautiful shade trees.
The Nathan Strong Park is just one of the many parks that Berlin has to offer residents and visitors alike.

This Memorial Day, we remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country and the families who carry their memory every day.
The Berlin Parks system has many monuments and memorials within and is a true testament to the appreciation that this community has for all of those heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice.
"On July 1, 2006, the Berlin Veterans Foundation dedicated the Gold Star Veterans Memorial at Riverside Park. The memorial bears 116 names, honoring Berlin-area veterans who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation and the preservation of our freedoms. The Berlin Veterans Foundation added the Veterans Gazebo in 2012, followed by pathways in 2015 connecting the Gazebo to the Gold Star Veterans Memorial and the Fox River walkways. Both the memorial and gazebo areas were designed to depict the five-sided Pentagon in Washington DC, symbolizing the five branches of the United States military: Army, Navy, Marine
Corps, Air Force, and Coast Guard. In recent years Berlin's Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony conclude at the Memorial Area which
is covered with placards telling the stories of all 116 Gold Star Veterans."
Our Veteran's group meets the second Monday of every month at 10:30AM at the Senior Center - if you're a Veteran please join in.
