Did you know that over 20,000 years ago, New Mexico (and most of North America) was covered in a sheet of ice?

Tomorrow, an educator from the NM Office of Archaeological Studies will be at the library with a tabletop museum full of interesting artifacts from the Ice Age! Come learn about a time where people lived alongside woolly mammoths, sabre-toothed cats, and a whole lot of ice... 🧊🌨️🥶

We have a fun week ahead of us for Summer Reading Program!

❤️On Monday, we will have a special toddler storytime with a reader from Dion's!
🧡On Tuesday, R4 Creating will be here with some awesome STEM activities.
💛On Wednesday, come hang out with our friends at the BioPark.
💚On Thursday, join Explora for a program called "Be a Rock Star".
💙On Friday, The NM Office of Archaeological Studies will be here with a touch-and-feel museum all about Ice Age America!
💜On Saturday, a ranger from New Mexico Historic Sites will be here for Ranger Read and Learn.

Registration is still open through this Saturday for children age 0-17. June 13th will be the last day for children to register, so make sure you come see us!

Registration for the Summer Reading program has begun! Come to the front desk to sign up.

Children ages 0-17 can register up until Saturday, June 13th. There will be special prizes available at sign up while supplies last! By reading throughout the program, children will earn smaller prizes as well as raffle tickets towards our grand prizes. The program will end on July 1st with a pizza party and a prize drawing!

Adults can register throughout the summer, with weekly prize drawings happening through July 25th. The two adults who read the most amount of books will win Barnes and Noble gift cards!

There will also be fun events and programs happening at the library throughout the summer. Check out the calendar on our website to learn more. See you soon!

Stomp, chomp and roar! Let’s read like a dinosaur! This year our Summer Reading Program theme is Unearth a Story… or several stories and adventures at the library! It will be a summer filled with dinosaurs of all shapes and sizes! Be on the lookout for our Children, Teen and Adult Summer Reading Programs! We have so many wonderful things planned for you, and we hope to see you there! STEM programs, food preservation classes, arts and crafts and so much more! Join us on June 1st for the start of the Summer Reading Program at the Martha Liebert Public Library! We will have so many prizes and fun activities this summer for all ages.

The children's reading program will last the entire month of June and end July 1st with a pizza party and really amazing prizes! Almost every day of the week there will be something fun and exciting to do with the little ones. This year we will have the Bio-Park, Explora, R4 Creative, a concert with Andy Mason, the Archeological Society, Raptors of New Mexico and more activities!

Register at any time throughout the summer for the adult program to win weekly prizes such as signed books from T. Kingfisher, Isotopes tickets, a Dunkin Donuts gift card and more! The two people who read the most books will win gift cards to Barnes and Noble! The adult reading program will end on July 25th. Checkout our calendar for all the activities going on this summer!
