Attention pet parents the 24Petwatch Microchip Registry has been changed to PetPlace.com
What is a microchip?

- It’s a rice-sized radio-frequency identification device
- It’s not a GPS-tracking device
- It contains a unique number associated with your pet
- Once registered, it improves your pet’s chances of getting home quickly if they ever go missing.

Microchipping is a simple, painless, one‑time procedure that can dramatically increase your dog’s chances of coming home. With proper registration, it’s one of the most effective preventive measures you can take to protect your pet’s safety and ensure a reunion if they become lost.

🐾Kaktus had a good afternoon on a Doggy Day Out adventure! He enjoyed a short walk along the Bosque trails where he got to explore and sniff. Afterward, he headed to Home Depot and did an amazing job out in public.🌳🌟
He was well-behaved throughout the store and worked on his recall and “sit” commands. Kaktus handled new environments very well and loved spending time with volunteers.

This sweet boy is currently looking for a forever home where he can continue to build confidence, enjoy adventures, and share all the love he has to give.
Please don't hesitate to contact us or if you would like to become a volunteer. (505) 867-7642

Get ready for Howl-arious Thursday, featuring Ariel with personalities that'll have you smiling or maybe even laughing.

This week, meet Ariel, a 7-year-old black lab mix. She can be untrustworthy at first and very unsure about new humans, but once she is comfortable, she turns into a snuggle bug who loves pets walks and sunbathing. Ariel has been patiently waiting for her forever home since April of 2025, so let's help her find it! She is amazing on walks, enjoys pets and butt scratches, and even does a little dance when you're touching her back. She's funny, sweet and gentle. We would preferer a meet and greet with Ms. Ariel if other dogs will be present at home.

Ariel is in need of a home or a foster; Ariels ideal home is a quiet home that doesn't have much human traffic.
