SEEKING THE PUBLIC'S ASSISTANCE-CONSTRUCTION SITE THEFT INVESTIGATION.

The Sandoval County Sheriff's Office is requesting the public's assistance regarding a theft that occurred between July 6th 2026 and July 13, 2026, at a private construction site located near U.S. Highway 550 at around Mile marker 76.
During this time, unknown suspect(s) stole approximately forty 10' wooden boards from the property. To gain access to the materials, the suspect(s) removed sections of the plywood subflooring. In addition, a radio was stolen from a 2002 Dodge Ram pickup truck located at the site.
If you witnessed any suspicious activity in the area during this timeframe or have any information that could assist investigators, please contact the Sandoval County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division. Even the smallest detail could be valuable to this investigation.

The American Red Cross has opened an evacuation shelter for those impacted by the in Sandoval County, New Mexico.

Red Cross volunteers are providing a safe place to stay for those affected by the fire.

From May 21 through May 25 the Sandoval County Sheriff’s Office participated in a collaborative law-enforcement operation alongside the Bureau of Indian Affairs, (BIA), Sandia Police, Bernalillo Police Department, BIA Division of Drug Enforcement, Homeland Security Investigations, Emergency Removal Operations, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Zia Police Department, Jemez Pueblo, Cuba Police Department, Office of the United States Attorneys, SCSO K9, SCSO Patrol and SCSO DWI/Traffic Unit conducted visible patrols and traffic enforcement throughout the southern Pueblo agency reservations in Sandoval County. During the operation law-enforcement officers made:
174 Vehicle Contacts,
39 vehicle searches,
9 canine deployments,
6 canine alerts,
45 citations issued,
20 arrests,
20 fi****ms recovered
9 undocumented individuals

In addition, officers seized:
25.1 g of methamphetamine,
123 fentanyl pills,
2.4g of fentanyl powder, 8.2 g of co***ne,
30g of ma*****na,
27 prescription pills.

This operation reflects the continued commitment of our agency and our law-enforcement partners to protecting our communities reducing violent crime and keeping dangerous drugs, and illegal fi****ms off the streets. Together, we will remain dedicated to taking a bite out of crime and ensuring the safety of the residence of Sandoval County.
