Bernie Housing Authority lobby is closed Tuesday due to inclement weather. Call the emergency work order number for work orders. All side roads are ice covered, please stay home unless it’s an emergency.

After looking at all the data for the next few hours there is a concern for a significant tornado or two moving out of northeast AR into southeast MO possibly reaching the Mississippi River before the larger line takes over from the west. We will continue to monitor the situation over the next several hours. Counties across southeast MO (in the red dotted area) especially along and south of Highway 60 should pay VERY close attention to conditions through around 7/8 PM.

Bernie Housing Authority will be closing the office at 12:00 pm today, Wednesday, April 2, 2025 due to weather predictions. If you are staying in your home, the bathroom without windows or an interior closet is the safest place to get away from flying debris. As a minimum have some water and a flashlight with you. In your newsletter is a list of items you may need in a storm situation.
The Armory is open to the public for shelter.
