⚠️❄️ Not much change in the forecast for Thursday night and Friday morning's snow storm. We're expecting widespread 2-4" of snow with some localized higher amounts of 4-6"+ possible near or south of the I-95 corridor. This snow is expected to impact the Friday morning commute, and a Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for much of the area.

There is a slight chance of severe weather impacting our area this afternoon. Please pay attention to any weather alerts that our issued for our area!

Good morning!

There will be the potential for severe storms capable of producing damaging wind gusts over northern portions of our area (mostly along and north of I-78) late this afternoon into this evening. These storms may also produce locally heavy rainfall and minor flooding (with the flooding threat also confined to northern areas).

*Park Status Update 03 September 2021 @ 10:00 AM*

💦⚠️HIGH RELEASE INFORMATION⚠💦
Downstream flood conditions have receded and an outflow release of 3,000 cfs is scheduled to begin reducing the level within the reservoir.

🚫🚧Portions of the Stilling Basin Access Area are closed due to the high water release.

🚫🛥ALL BOAT LAUNCHES remain CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC.

The Dry Brooks Day Use Area is open for land-based activities.
🚫🏊‍♀️The SWIM BEACH remains CLOSED due to high levels of algae and the high lake level. Once the lake has returned to normal summer pool levels testing will be performed to determine water quality conditions concerning algae and bacteria levels.

⚠️🥾🚲Many areas along the trail are flooded at this time. Please use caution and avoid traveling through flood waters.

Ida will likely impact our area in the middle of this week. Take time this weekend to prepare by cleaning gutters and downspouts, clearing storm drains, inspecting roofs, and ensuring that your sump pump is operational.

The remnant low of Ida will approach our area later this week. 2-4" of rain with locally higher amounts will result in flash flooding & river flooding Tuesday night through Wednesday, & flooding is likely to last through the end of the week. Stay tuned for details as this draws nearer.

Congratulations to Bernville Community Fire Company. it will surely be an asset for our community.

We are excited to welcome home the new Tanker 29. The tanker arrived this evening. It will now be in the process of being equipped and members being trained on the truck. We hope to have it in service in a few weeks!!
