***UPDATE - SENSENY ROAD IS BACK
OPEN AS OF 9:00 PM***

🚨 ROAD CLOSURE – ACTIVE STRUCTURE FIRE 🚨

Senseny Road is currently CLOSED between Salem Church Road and the Frederick County line due to an active structure fire.

The roadway will remain closed for an undetermined amount of time while emergency crews operate in the area.

Due to the rural location of the fire, fire department tanker trucks will be traveling back and forth between the scene and nearby water sources. Please use extra caution, remain alert for emergency vehicles, and do not attempt to drive around the road closure.

Please avoid the area if possible and allow firefighters and emergency personnel room to safely work.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation.

Our members recently participated in pool emergency training alongside Clarke County Parks and Recreation, strengthening our skills and coordination for responding to water-related emergencies in our community.

Training like this helps ensure our crews are ready to respond quickly, safely, and effectively when seconds matter. 💪🚒

We are excited to welcome the John H. Enders Fire Company crew to the Hollow this Saturday (8/22) at 2pm to present them with a donation from the proceeds of Capt. John’s Red Ale 🔥

Come out and chill! Shelly and the Mudcats will be performing from 1-4pm, taking a break at 2pm for a quick presentation.

🚌 RED LIGHTS FLASHING? THERE IS NO GUESSING! STOP! 🛑

With students heading back to school tomorrow , it’s a good time to refresh your knowledge of school bus safety.

Do you know when you’re required to stop for a school bus? The answer can depend on the type of roadway you’re traveling on. Check out the graphic and make sure you know before you go!

When you see a school bus:
🟡 Yellow lights = Slow down and prepare to stop
🔴 Red lights & stop arm = STOP when required
👀 Watch carefully for children entering or crossing the roadway
📵 Put the phone down and stay alert

A few extra seconds of patience behind a school bus could prevent a tragedy.
