Good afternoon. The Western District County Clerk's office (Eureka) will be closed on Wednesday, , June 10th. Couples wishing to apply for a marriage license will need to come to the Eastern District (Berryville) office at 210 W. Church. Phone: 870-423-2022. Ms. Sara will be back on Thursday.

We are so glad to have our 4-H young people back at Quorum Court!

Before Covid, our 4-H members led the pledge and invocation. Starting in January 2026, we are happy to be back leading that monthly. This month we had members Paige K. and Blake K. for doing this tonight.

Municipal filing period will be here before we know it! Be looking for prospective candidates in your city asking for you to sign their required petition sheets so they can be placed on the November ballot.

To be prepared: Be sure that your contact information is the same as what is on your voting record. If you have moved, please fill out a new voter registration prior to signing a petition and get it to the County Clerk's office. Be sure that you are not signing for your spouse - we know y'all do it! If the signature on file doesn't look near the same (we understand that signatures do change over the years), it will be disallowed. We also often see incorrect birthdates, so be sure to double check! If you are NOT registered to vote, your name will be disallowed. To check your voter registration status, go to: https://www.voterview.ar-nova.org/voterview or call the Clerk's office at 870-423-2022.

It is with a heavy heart we share that David Slaton, Carroll County Coroner died in his home in the early morning hours Sunday. Carroll served as Coroner since January 2018. Previously he served as a municipal police officer and a sheriff's deputy. In addition, David was instrumental in training the new police force in Iraq after the Gulf War. More information will be shared as it is provided to the Arkansas Coroner's Association. Please keep the Slaton family as well as the Coroner's Office in your prayers.
