Beautifully said!

Let's deep breath and agree to leave the "Quilt Police" badge at the door.

Every now and then, I hear from a sweet maker who is absolutely terrified to show off their finished quilt because they’re worried someone might point out an uneven border, a slightly mismatched point, or a bit of wonky tension.

The people who truly love this craft and understand the hours of love, sweat and tears that go into a quilt top are only ever going to look at your work and see a masterpiece. They are looking at your color choices, your movement, and the joy of what you created!

If someone bypasses the entire beauty of your project just to hunt down a minor mistake... that is a reflection of their character or state of mind, not the quality of your beautiful work.

I’ve ripped out my fair share of stitches over the decades, and I still learn something new every single day. There is no single "perfect" way to do this, there is only your way, and your way is worth celebrating.

📣 UPDATE!!! the maximum size for the 2028 Show Theme quilts (Birds of a Feather) is now
35 inch width ⬅️➡️ x
60 inch lenght ⬆️⬇️
This is the Max size allowed, your quilt CAN be smaller.

Show attendees were asked to vote for their top three favorite quilts in the General Entry category and one quilt in the entire show that was their absolute favorite, which would be the Viewer's Choice.

Presenting the NSVQS 2028 Show Theme:
🪶 “Birds of a Feather”🪶

New for 2028!
In order to be able to accommodate more quilt entries in our show:
• Only one quilt per person can be entered into the Show Theme
• The maximum size for your Show Theme quilt is 35" wide x 60" long. (Smaller quilts are acceptable.)
• Any quilt submitted that is larger than this will not be accepted due to space limitations.

** Please note that the size limitation only applies to quilts entered into the Show Theme category! **

As we wrap down our show, we are very pleased of all the good feedback we got from you, as well as some critiques that will help us improve the show each time. All volunteers and organizing committee members always try our best to give you an enjoyable, community Quilt Show. Thank you very much for coming and supporting us!
Thanks to all vendors and non-profit organizations that joined us.
We, once again, want to give thanks to the Grantors and Supporters that made it possible to bring you the show.

🇺🇸On Sunday we had the chance to honor 3 more Veterans with quilts awarded by Quits of Valor. We are really honor to have these presentations at our show, they are now part of our program every show. The quilts awarded were for: John Flouhouse, William Shevokas and Andrew Martino.

Thank you all for coming to our show! The committee is completely exhausted but so happy.
🏆 Congratulations, again, to all of the winners. Your work is superb!
🧵 Thank you to everyone who submitted a quilt and sent the registrar into shock when registration had to be closed after a mere 10 days. Your quilts are gorgeous and received so many compliments.
🛍️ Thank you to our vendors who came from near and far with their goodies for us. Thank you, also, for being the judges for the supporting group challenges!
💚 Thank you to all of our volunteers, we can’t do this show without you!
💻 The gallery of winning quilts will be posted on our website this week! Your webmaster is still exhausted and hoping for a second wind and more coffee to clear the mind, but is curled under a quilt cuddling a puppy.
