The City of Carpio is currently experiencing a power outage. Power is expected to be out for approximately 2–3 hours.
The issue has been reported and is currently in the process of being addressed.

We are asking residents to please keep an eye out for this missing dog.
🐾 White Maltese
🐾 Approximately 12 lbs.
🐾 Wearing a purple collar

Last seen North from 282nd St NW in the Carpio area.

Stray Dog

This dog showed up in the Carpio area
Appears to have been on his own for quite some time. He is safe now, and I would really like to find his owner or anyone who may know where he belongs.

If you recognize him or have any information about where he may have come from, please contact the Police Department.

Thank you so much to the family who has been helping with food, water, and TLC. Kind people always make my day.

Please share so we can hopefully get this guy back where he belongs.

Southwestern Advantage Educational Products representatives are currently in our community selling educational books door to door.
A representative from the company contacted the Berthold Police Department to advise us of their presence in town and provided a copy of their North Dakota transient merchant license. I am currently reviewing the paperwork to verify compliance with state and local requirements.
Once that review is complete, I will post an update with the results.
As always, residents should use their own judgment when answering the door and should never feel obligated to make a purchase. If you observe suspicious activity or have concerns, please contact the Berthold Police Department.

Was found wandering in the area of the 200 block of Agnes St. In Berthold and is currently safe. It appears to be well cared for and may have just recently got loose from its home.

If you are the owner, or know who this dog belongs to, please contact Officer Al (701)7990022.

Join us on Saturday, July 4th as we celebrate Independence Day with small-town pride, family fun, and plenty of patriotic spirit!
This year’s parade is already looking fantastic, and we want you to be part of it.
