Tim Hardy for Berthoud Tim Hardy- Candidate for Berthoud town trustee for 2018 - 2022

I would like to see a town where we all still have a sense of community. A place where we can live, work, play, shop and recreate locally. An inclusive community where affordable housing options are available and small businesses can be started and sustained by local community support.

Last year the Board of Trustees came up with 3 priorities for the board to focus on. they are:
1 - Managed growth (smart growth)
2 - Infrastructure - (upgrades and repairs of streets and sidewalks)
3 - Communication - improve communications with town and citizens

There will be another retreat for board members after the election. Should they continue their focus on those ideas of do you have recommendations for other priorities to focus on?

ABOUT ME:
I am a Berthoud native. I have lived in Berthoud for more than 40 years of my life. I have attended Berthoud schools from kindergarten through graduating at Berthoud High School. My mother, uncle, brother, sister, niece and 2 sons and daughter have graduated from Berthoud High school. I have seen the town grow and grow. I have also seen what growth caps will do to our town. I believe that I should participate in all that my town has to offer. From volunteering with a local non-profit, or scout troop, to serving on the town planning commission and as town trustee through your support. I have my heart here in Berthoud, because Berthoud is my home. I would like to see it grow in a smart way that still maintains the small town integrity and charm I have grown to love here. I believe that is why so many people want to move to our community. I am a beekeeper and vice-president of the Northern Colorado Beekeepers Association, so I am concerned about our eco-system ,environment by preserving open space and farmland. I am also a local business owner. I am a supporter of small business and methods to encourage others to become small business owners themselves. I encourage those who have something to say about our community to get involved. Come to planning commission meetings, town board meetings, any committee meetings that help define and develop our community. I feel that I am a fair and balanced decision maker. I listen to all sides when reviewing agenda items at meetings. I believe everyone has the right to be heard. feel free to call me or meet with me in person to discuss your ideas and concerns. 970-690-4213
