Today, we celebrate 250 years of freedom, service, and the enduring spirit of our nation. The men and women of our department are proud to serve and protect the citizens of this great community and country.

As you gather with family and friends to celebrate Independence Day, we encourage everyone to do so safely and responsibly. Please be mindful of the City of Bertram’s fireworks ordinance and help us ensure a safe and enjoyable holiday for all.🧨🎆

Due to recent concerns from citizens regarding golf carts, we have decided to share the State Laws pertaining to them for educational purposes. Please note that these are the requirements and can be subject to enforcement.

Make plans to be a part of the 4th of July Parade!! Grab your patriotic gear and join the fun. No registration is required. The parade is open to floats, cars & trucks, walkers, golf carts, bikes and horseback riders.
All floats and vehicles will enter the staging area from FM 243 onto Fallen Oak Drive. All equestrian participates will stage near the pool in Panther Park. All bikes, scooters and pedestrians will stage at the Presbyterian Church parking lot. All UTV, golf cart, ATV will stage alongside the park on Vaughan Street.
Staging for all areas is 9:00 am.

Over the last week, Bertram PD officers recovered a stolen fi***rm equipped with an illegal switch, along with multiple illegal narcotics, during proactive traffic enforcement stops.

The seized narcotics included OxyContin (Oxycodone hydrochloride), M**A, methamphetamine, Xanax (Alprazolam), and ma*****na, and multiple illegal THC v**e products.

Great work by our officers continuing to stay proactive and committed to keeping our community safe! 🚨🚓

From patrol cars to story time! 🚨 Yesterday, we got to enforce an important rule: READ MORE BOOKS! 📚
Chief Brantley and Officer Shuler spent time reading some classic Dr. Seuss stories to students at the Bertram Elementary School - smiles, laughter and a few silly voices included! Inspiring young readers is always a story worth telling and protecting our community also means investing in its future leaders, one page at a time.
