* 📬 A secure drop box is located by the front door for payments and other city correspondence and is available 24/7.

During this work, you may hear the siren sound several times as testing is conducted.

UPDATE: Due to the heat advisory and for the safety of our staff,this afternoon’s sewer smoke testing will be moved to Tuesday morning 8-12pm as previously scheduled.

🚨 REMINDER: Sewer Smoke Testing Tomorrow 🚨

The City of Bertrand will be conducting sewer smoke testing tomorrow from 8am-12pm throughout town.

You may see white, non-toxic smoke coming from roof vents, yard drains, or the ground. This is normal and helps us identify leaks and problem areas in the sewer system.

Smoke entering a home is often a sign of a plumbing issue that may need attention. It is the property owner’s responsibility to have the issue addressed.

📢 Volunteers Needed

The City of Bertrand is looking for a few volunteers to assist with our upcoming sewer smoke testing.

Date: July 20, possible July 21
Time: 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Volunteers will walk throughout town for approximately 4 hours. You must:

* Have a smartphone and be able to take photos.
* Be able to walk for an extended period.
* Be able to tolerate July heat.
