Today, Berwyn learned of a lawsuit that alleges what amounts to serious tampering with our local elections by Berwyn's Mayor.

YOUR Berwyn proudly endorsed the plaintiff in this case, Rafael Avila, along with 13 other great neighbors in those 2025 elections. And this is a perfect example illustrating why we endorsed Rafael - Berwyn desperately needs new leadership!

We are extremely concerned about these developments and support Mr. Avila as he searches for the truth with his legal team.

If it's allegations are substantiated at trial, this lawsuit tells us that our elections have been tainted and that we can't trust this Mayoral Administration to manage our collective municipal affairs appropriately.

Our City government MUST be reformed. YOUR Berwyn is committed to continue our mission; to fight for more open, transparent local government, and to help Berwyn residents get involved in the process.
