🗣️MOBILE DMV COMING TO CICERO THIS AUGUST!

Join us on Friday, August 7, 2026, for a special event in collaboration with the Illinois Secretary of State’s Mobile Driver Services Unit!

📍Location: The Town of Cicero Community Center, 2250 S 49th Ave. CICERO, 60804

⏱️Time: 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Representatives from the Secretary of State’s office will be available to assist with:

•Renewing or correcting driver’s licenses
•Upgrading standard driver’s licenses to REAL ID-compliant licenses
•Obtaining or renewing Standard or REAL ID state identification cards
•Issuing free state ID cards for seniors age 65+
•Purchasing license plate stickers

Attendees will also have the opportunity to:

•Register as an organ/tissue donor
•Register to vote while applying for a driver’s license or ID

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED
Appointments are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

If you recently lost SNAP benefits because of the new federal work requirements, you may still be able to regain eligibility.

There are two main ways to restore benefits:
• Meet the work requirements or qualify for an exemption
• Re-enroll during the next benefit reset period in 2027

Even if you were completing qualifying activities, missing paperwork could still lead to a loss of benefits. IDHS has resources available to help determine eligibility, exemptions, and next steps.

What can your legislators do for you? The Offices of State Representative Abdelnasser Rashid and State Senator Mike Porfirio will be holding mobile office hours at the Library next Wednesday. Stop by to ask questions and get assistance relating to state benefits and resources like unemployment, Medicaid, rental assistance, and more. Information will be provided in both English and Spanish.

Las oficinas del Representante Estatal Abdelnasser Rashid y el Senador Estatal Mike Porfirio tendrán horarios de oficina móvil en la biblioteca de Brookfield el próximo miércoles. In partnership with Museums In the Park, Rep. Rashid is offering the 21st District complimentary general admissions for up to 4 people to 11 Illinois participating institutions.

Museums in the Park Card is the 21st District’s educational passport to Chicago’s world-class museums. The 2026 Constituent Card allows our district to explore the ways that Chicago-area museums make a difference in Illinois and we are excited to offer this to our district!

📌 REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED

Please read:

•The card can only be checked out for a limited period of time.
•The card can only be used to grant basic admission to no more than four individuals.
•In order to receive the card you must complete the google form.
•Prior to requesting a date, please check museum hours of operation as they each vary.
•Your reservation is not confirmed until this form is complete and you receive a confirmation email from our office.
•Once confirmed you will receive an email with a letter from our office. This letter will serve as your entry “ticket” and must be shown upon arrival to the museum.
