Movies in the Park is Back!

Grab your lawn chairs, blankets, and your favorite picnic snacks because our Movies in the Park series kicks off on Wednesday, June 24 at Proksa Park.

We'll be showing Zootopia 2 under the stars. The movie begins at dusk, so come a little early to find the perfect spot, spread out your blanket, and enjoy a relaxing summer evening with family and friends.

This event is free and open to everyone.

The Jolly Sprinkle will be there with tasty treats for movie-goers to enjoy!

Think you can finish a 500-piece puzzle in under two hours?

Put your skills to the test at Puzzle Palooza, a fun team-based puzzle competition at Proksa Park Activity Center.

Form a team of four and race against the clock using the same puzzle as every other team. We will offer two divisions so everyone can join at their comfort level.

Beginner Division: 500-piece puzzle
Advanced Division: 1,000-piece puzzle

Good news! The Proksa Park playground is open and ready for weekend play.

The damaged structure has been safely removed, and the area has been secured so families can once again enjoy the playground. We are incredibly grateful to our dedicated maintenance team, who worked tirelessly over the past several days to clean up storm debris, assess damage, and ensure our parks are safe and welcoming for everyone.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we worked through the cleanup process.

Due to recent storm damage, the Proksa Park playground is temporarily closed while a full safety assessment is completed.

The playground will remain closed until it is determined to be safe for public use. We appreciate your patience and understanding as our team evaluates the damage and works to ensure the playground can reopen safely.

Please respect all closure signage and barriers. Updates will be shared as they become available.

You May Hear a Weather Siren at Our Athletic Fields This Season

We are currently using a Perry Weather Lightning Detection System at our baseball and soccer fields at Proksa Park and Freedom Park to help keep participants safe.

If lightning is detected within 10 miles of a field, an alarm will sound to alert program participants and park goers to leave the field and seek shelter in their vehicles. Activities remain suspended for at least 20 minutes, and the timer resets if additional lightning is detected.

If you live near one of our athletic fields, please don't be alarmed by the siren. It is not a community emergency alert. It is a weather safety notification for those using the fields.

Ready to hit the court

Our Next Generation Hoopers program is the perfect place for young athletes to learn the fundamentals of basketball in a fun, supportive, and energetic environment!

Players will build skills in dribbling, passing, shooting, and defense through engaging drills and games designed for their age and experience level. Along the way, they'll gain confidence, improve coordination, learn teamwork, and develop a love for the game.

No basketball experience needed, just bring your energy and willingness to have fun!
