Today, we honor Juneteenth—a celebration of freedom, resilience, and the ongoing pursuit of equality.

Juneteenth commemorates June 19, 1865, when the last enslaved African Americans in Texas learned of their freedom, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued.

As we reflect on this important day in history, we recognize the contributions, achievements, and strength of Black communities while recommitting ourselves to fostering equity, opportunity, and inclusion for all.

With soccer excitement all around us this summer, it feels like the perfect time to celebrate the people who make up your home team.

Simply Us is a limited-edition portrait experience benefiting Youth Cross Roads, created to celebrate connection, belonging and the relationships that matter most.

A limited number of portrait experiences are available on select weekday and weekend dates in late July and August 2026.

As a championship-weekend gift, families who apply by July 19 and reserve their Simply Us portrait experience will receive a complimentary keepsake photographic print.

Mariely has spent 16 years creating stunning portrait experiences that celebrate connection, belonging, and the relationships that shape our lives. 🤍

As a mother of four, she knows firsthand how precious family bonds are. But her passion goes even deeper than beautiful images—Mariely is deeply committed to supporting youth mental health, fostering community connections, and ensuring every child and teen in our community has a safe space to feel seen and valued.

Because of the generosity of our volunteers, donors, and community partners, Youth Crossroads was able to serve 172 families and approximately 602 individuals during our food distribution on June 8.

Access to nutritious food is an essential part of building strong, healthy communities. We are grateful to everyone who helped make this distribution possible and to the families who trusted us to be part of their support network.

Together, we are creating a community where every family has access to the resources they need to thrive.

Youth Crossroads is proud to partner with Mariely Martinez Photography to present Simply Us—a limited-edition portrait experience celebrating connection, belonging, and the relationships that help us stay true to ourselves.

This meaningful campaign invites families, siblings, couples, parents and children, pets and their people, and small groups to participate in a one-of-a-kind portrait experience designed to honor the bonds that make us feel seen, supported, and connected.

Portrait sessions will take place July 18–19, with a limited number of private weekday appointments available for those who need alternative scheduling.

Each participant will receive a personal planning consultation with Mariely before their session to create portraits that feel authentic, meaningful, and uniquely reflective of their relationships.

The $175 participation fee reserves your session, includes a $100 donation to Youth Crossroads, and helps support the creation of Simply Us: A Portrait Exhibit Celebrating Connection and Belonging, opening this fall.

Following the session, participants will enjoy a private ordering appointment to select their favorite custom photographic artwork. Selected portraits will be featured in the fall exhibit.

We are honored to bring this special project to our community and invite you to join us in celebrating relationships, connection, belonging, and youth mental health.

At Youth Crossroads, we believe in the power of hope, healing, and action. That’s why this month, we’re wearing orange — a symbol of safety and support — to raise awareness and honor those affected by gun violence.
On Friday, June 6, join us for National Gun Violence Awareness Day by wearing orange. It’s a simple way to show you care and help start important conversations about creating safer spaces.
If you or someone you know needs support, our Project Peace Department is here to help. They offer resources, counseling, and a listening ear for anyone affected by violence or trauma.
