Did you know? The Revolutionary War wasn't fought entirely from behind trees and rocks.
Much of the fighting relied on muskets, bayonets and field artillery, with soldiers trained to fight in organized formations.
At the upcoming Revolutionary War encampment at Teegarden Park, you can learn more about how soldiers actually fought - and how British troops adapted their tactics to the forests, fences and rugged terrain of North America.
Come experience history firsthand as part of Chester County 250.

Please use caution while driving on the 300 block of Croton Road in Wayne - a section of pavement has washed out around a storm drain along the roadway edge. Public Works & Tredyffrin Township Police Department are aware and PennDOT has been notified. Please stay alert in this area & be mindful of work crews. We appreciate your understanding. 🚧🚧

Aqua PA Utility Construction to Close Rt. 252 beginning August 31st, 2026

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that Aqua Pennsylvania will perform utility construction on Route 252 (Bear Hill Road) in Tredyffrin Township, Chester County, beginning on Monday, August 31, 2026.

History is coming to life in Tredyffrin Township!

As part of Chester County’s 250th anniversary celebration, His Majesty’s 40th Regiment, 2nd Battalion Light Infantry - the “Bloodhounds” - will establish a Revolutionary War encampment at Teegarden Park.

Step back into 1777 and experience an encampment and re-enactment that will offer a glimpse into the soldiers, equipment, tactics and daily life of the Revolutionary era.
