As I reflect on my service to the citizens of Bessemer, I am grateful for the opportunity to represent District 7 and work alongside residents who care deeply about our city’s future. Together, we have faced challenges, celebrated successes, and continued striving to make Bessemer a better place to live, work, and raise a family.

Over the years, I am proud of the accomplishments we have achieved together, including supporting improvements to our neighborhoods, advocating for infrastructure and community development projects, investing in youth and community programs, supporting our parks and recreational facilities, and recognizing the achievements of our students and educators. I have also been honored to serve our community through my work with the Bessemer Public Library Board of Trustees, helping oversee resources that benefit citizens of all ages.

While there is still work to be done, I remain committed to listening, leading, and advocating for the needs of our community. Every accomplishment has been possible because of the partnership between residents, community leaders, businesses, churches, and local organizations who believe in Bessemer.

Thank you for your trust, support, and partnership throughout the years. Serving you is both an honor and a responsibility that I do not take lightly. Together, we have accomplished much, and together, we will continue moving Bessemer forward.

🚨 Alabama is at a crossroads.

Today’s Supreme Court decision is more than a legal ruling—it is a warning sign. Many of us see this as another step toward eroding the hard-fought rights and protections that generations before us sacrificed to achieve.

We cannot remain silent while decisions threaten fair representation and equal access to democracy. The ghosts of Jim Crow should remain in the past, not be invited back into our future.

Our response must be clear: organize, vote, speak out, and continue the fight for justice and equality. The struggle for civil rights did not end yesterday, and it does not end today.

The fight continues. The stakes are too high to look away.

I encourage you to continue contacting Bessemer Utilities to report outages and service-related problems. The more reports they receive, the better they can identify and address issues throughout our community.
