Our courthouse in Bessemer is the early voting site for Gogebic County. Polls are open 8:30 am to 4:30 pm CST. Follow the signs when you arrive and the election workers there will assist if you wish to cast your ballot early. 🇺🇸

Starting today, Michigan voters can cast their ballot early and in person for the Aug. 4 Primary.

Visit mi.gov/earlyvoting for more information and to find your early voting site.

And remember to bring your voter ID.

Job Overview:
Gogebic County is accepting cover letters and resumes for the Chief Assistant Prosecutor within the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney. Under the supervision of the Prosecuting Attorney, the Chief Assistant Prosecuting Attorney will be responsible for performing a wide assortment of prosecutorial duties in District, Circuit, Juvenile, Family, and Probate Courts.

Gogebic County will accept bids on the following work that will be done on the multi-purpose building located at the Gogebic County Fairgrounds. Work will include the following:

Remove existing metal roof on the Southside Lean-Tos. Repair/replace any damaged purlins under the metal roof with matching framing material. Install 5/8" T&G OSB on top of the purlins and existing trusses. Install 90 # felt paper to properly cover the sheathing. Install metal, replace any panels that are damaged and match existing color and current profile. All work needs to be done to all Building Codes and Common practices.

Bids will be received until 3:45 PM on Wednesday, July 8, 2026. Bids will be opened at 4:00 PM at the Capital Improvement/Economic Development meeting. All work will need to be completed by October 1, 2026.
