Bethany was honored to participate in a statewide recommitment to the ideals of the Declaration of Independence. As part of the celebration of our nation's 250th anniversary, all 169 Connecticut municipalities were invited to sign a document reaffirming the enduring principles of liberty, equality, self-government, and civic responsibility. First Selectman Carol Goldberg signed on behalf of the Town of Bethany, joined by Town Clerk and Town Historian Will Brinton, who also signed the document. The signed declaration will be displayed at the Museum of Connecticut History as part of the state's CT250 commemoration.

Quinnipiack Valley Health District has issued a swim advisory for Veterans Memorial Park due to elevated bacteria levels detected during routine water testing conducted on August 3. Water will be retested soon, and updates will be shared when results become available.

🚧 Bethmour Road Update from First Selectman Carol Goldberg

A great deal of work has been taking place behind the scenes since the closure of the Bethmour Road culvert crossing. Engineering inspections have confirmed that the existing culvert cannot be repaired and must be replaced.

Town officials are working with engineers, state agencies, and municipal partners to evaluate replacement options, pursue funding opportunities, and advance the project as quickly and responsibly as possible.
