**WINDSWEEP ROAD BREACH WALL UPDATE**

Anode repair and replacement work is currently underway along the Windsweep Road breach wall. Residents may notice crews and specialized equipment working in the area.

More work to be done on Stone Rd breach wall soon, that will be the next stop.

This important maintenance helps protect and preserve the metal wall system. Please use caution near the work area and allow crews the space they need to complete the project safely.

Interested in serving your community? There is still time to file your nomination to run for the Bethel Island Municipal Improvement District Board of Directors.

πŸ—³οΈ Two Director seats will be on the ballot in the November 3, 2026 General Election.

⏰ Nomination papers must be filed no later than 5:00 PM on Friday, August 7, 2026.

If you're 18 years or older, a U.S. citizen, a resident of the district, a registered voter, and otherwise eligible to hold public office, we encourage you to consider serving your community.

For nomination information, contact the Contra Costa County Elections Division.

🚜 Building Strength from the Ground Up!

BIMID crews hard at work placing and compacting backfill along the levee on Taylor Road. This added material helps reinforce the levee area, maintain a stable slope, and support the continued protection of our island community.

It may look like a lot of dirtβ€”but every load, layer, and pass of the equipment is part of the important behind-the-scenes work required to care for Bethel Island’s levee system.
