Wishing all the BP kids a fabulous first day today, and hoping they all have a wonderful school year!

07/29/2022

It's hard to believe that the countdown to Back to School is ON! The kids return to the classroom in just a few short weeks and we are excited to support them in the new school year!

Our Affiliate has been pretty quiet for the last couple years, unable to reach new families thanks to Covid restricting in-person opportunities to do so. While we have continued to assist those who have reached out to us personally, we know there are many families who could benefit from our support and our network of parents, but we just haven't found each other yet. So, if you're seeing this post, WE NEED YOUR HELP!

If you know someone who has a child receiving gifted services in the District, or maybe someone who has a child that should be, invite them to like our page! We are going to be resuming in-person meetings for families to discuss GIEPs, supports, issues, dual exceptionalities, and anything else our members feel they could benefit from discussing, and we want to make sure that as many people as possible have the opportunity to participate in these conversations!

Be sure to join our email list to stay in the loop (email us at [email protected] to be added to that list), and keep an eye on our page for more details about our next meeting. Don't be shy about reaching out in the meantime! We can't wait to see everyone in person again soon and make even more connections to continue to support the students in our District!

This is such an amazing, free, virtual program to introduce tweens to literature about disabilities.

My son participated in last Spring’s program; he learned a lot, gained a lot of perspective, and had a great time!

Please sign up and share this around!

Do you know any 4th and 6th grade students who would benefit from a chance to connect over a book with other students in PA? Weekly book study on Thursdays at 6PM offers an hour to wind down after the school day and talk about "Fish in a Tree" by Lynda Mullaly Hunt--with discussion and games facilitated by Include Me program specialists. We're SO excited to get started next week!
