We’re proud to share that WRVA’s AHA Training Center now officially has its first Advanced Stroke Life Support (ASLS) Instructor!
Congratulations to Anthony Graves (far right in photo), Medic at WRVA, who has completed all the requirements to become an ASLS (Advanced Stroke Life Support) Instructor. This is a major accomplishment not just for Anthony, but for our entire team and the community we serve.
Why is this important? Because stroke care is all about time, recognition, and action and now, with in-house ASLS training, we’ll be able to provide our Crew Members with the most current, evidence-based education in stroke recognition and intervention.
In a rural setting like Central Vermont, early and accurate stroke care can significantly improve patient outcomes reducing both morbidity and mortality. While our team is already well-trained in stroke assessment and response, staying updated on the latest science and techniques ensures we continue to offer the best care when every second counts.
This is one more step forward in our commitment to our community. Thank you for trusting us to be there when you need us most.

We are ready for you!!
