A pattern shift will support increasing severe weather chances starting the middle of next week & beyond.

Mid-level troughing in the West with 60+°F dewpoints in the East should result in an extended period of active severe weather from the Southern Plains to the Southeast & perhaps into the Ohio Valley.

Now is a good time to review severe weather preparedness plans as the spring severe weather season starts to ramp up.
