Due to the COVID-19 Virus, effective Thursday, March 19, 2020, the Bethel Transfer Station will be open regular hours for household garbage drop and recycling. No BULKY drop off will be allowed. All residents using the Transfer Station MUST be able to put their household garbage into our dumpster. In order to keep our employees safe, our attendant will not be able to assist you with the unloading of your household waste. In lieu of this inconvenience, there will be no charge for dumping your household waste until further notice.

Only residents with current Town of Bethel Transfer Station permits will be allowed to use the Transfer Station.

If you want a Transfer Station permit the application can be found on the Town of Bethel website under Town Clerk. Please fill out the permit and e-mail or regular mail to the Town Clerk’s Office. A permit will be mailed to you.
Any questions can be directed to the Public Works Department at 203-794-8549.
