This week's NIH Loan Repayment Programs Ambassador Network Spotlight goes to Dr. Henrika McCoy. Dr. McCoy is a Health Disparities LRP recipient who is an Associate Professor at the Jane Addams College of Social Work, University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr. McCoy's thoughts on being an LRP Ambassador:

"Connections made with ambassadors through the LRP program can be useful beyond just obtaining assistance for the LRP application process. Those interactions can lead to professional relationships that culminate in collaborations for co-authoring and funding"

LRP Ambassador Spotlight: Dr. Scott Cameron, Clinical Research LRP recipient at the University of Rochester Medical Center. His research focuses on pathways in the cardiovascular system as they relate to thrombotic and ischemic diseases.

During the last application cycle, Dr. Cameron met with several prospective applicants individually to share his story, and helped prepare applications. He also compiled and prepared a formal LRP lecture for the internal medicine residents and fellows.
