Today, Bethlehem Hazmat Medics had the opportunity to participate in joint training with Allentown Paramedics and Lehigh County Special Operations.

While we hope we never have to use these skills in a real-world situation, staying prepared and taking the time to train together is extremely important.

Thank you to Allentown Paramedics for opening this training opportunity to us. We appreciate the chance to train alongside your teams and look forward to future opportunities to train jointly!

Another Musikfest is in the books!

For the past 11 days, Bethlehem Paramedics have been providing medical coverage throughout Musikfest 2026.

A huge thank you to the Bethlehem EMS team. These clinicians worked long hours throughout the festival to make sure high quality medical care was available when needed. It takes a lot of teamwork and dedication to cover an event of this size for 11 days, and once again the team got it done.

We also want to thank St. Luke’s University Health Network and Lehigh Valley Health Network for their continued partnership and support. Their support throughout Musikfest and throughout the year is greatly appreciated.

Events like Musikfest take a team effort, and we are fortunate to have great people and partners working together to make it happen.

Thank you to everyone involved in another successful Musikfest!

Dr. Bryan Wilson joined Bethlehem EMS in 2016 as our Associate Medical Director and became our Medical Director in 2018. From our very first conversation at a regional EMS conference, we knew he was someone who would make a lasting impact—and he certainly did.

Over the past decade, Dr. Wilson has played an instrumental role in the growth and advancement of Bethlehem EMS. His leadership, clinical expertise, and unwavering support have helped shape our organization into what it is today. We are incredibly grateful for everything he has done for our team, our clinicians, and the patients we serve.

Tonight marks Dr. Wilson’s final shift with Bethlehem EMS as he begins an exciting new chapter as Chief of the Division of EMS at the University of Virginia.

While we’re sad to see him go, we couldn’t be happier for him. We know he’ll continue to accomplish incredible things, and we look forward to watching his continued success.

Thank you, Bryan, for your leadership, mentorship, friendship, and the countless memories we’ve shared over the years. You’ll always be part of the Bethlehem EMS family. Best of luck—we know you’re going to do great things!

It’s that time of year again… Musikfest 2026 Preview Night is here!

The Bethlehem Paramedics are proud to once again provide medical coverage throughout one of the nation’s largest open air/ non gated music festivals. Throughout the festival, our paramedics and physicians will be working side by side to deliver exceptional prehospital care whenever it’s needed.

If you see one of the Bethlehem Paramedics covering the festival, be sure to stop and say hello! Whether it’s answering a question, treating a minor illness or injury, or responding to an emergency, they’re here to help keep Musikfest safe for everyone.

City of Bethlehem Paramedic Struss is participating in the Water Rescue Series with the Allentown Fire Academy a multi-day class which includes boat operations, rope systems, and in the water training. The City of Bethlehem continues to support our Paramedics with continued training for the safety and well-being of the community.

EMS Week is a time to recognize the incredible clinicians who answer the call every single day, but at the City of Bethlehem EMS, we know their dedication goes far beyond one week a year.

City of Bethlehem paramedics work long hours caring for patients and their families on some of the worst days of their lives — all while striving to provide the highest level of prehospital care possible. We are incredibly lucky to have such skilled, compassionate, and hardworking clinicians serving this community. Their commitment to excellence does not go unnoticed.

We also want to thank St. Luke’s University Health Network and Lehigh Valley Health Network for not only their generosity during EMS Week, but for the continued support they provide to City of Bethlehem paramedics every day of the year. Strong hospital partnerships play a huge role in helping EMS providers deliver exceptional patient care to the community.

A special thank you as well to the City of Bethlehem administration for their continued support of EMS and the commitment they show to ensuring our clinicians have the resources needed to serve the community at the highest level.

While the spotlights and proclamations are appreciated, the recognition that truly matters will come when EMS — and all of public safety — are equally funded, equally supported, and equally represented every day of the year, not just during EMS Week.

We are excited to celebrate two of our Bethlehem EMS alumni who are graduating from medical school today — Dr. Alexandra Vaughan-Masamitsu and Dr. Rob Hodes!

Both of these clinicians made a tremendous impact during their time at Bethlehem EMS, touching countless lives through the care they provided to patients and the support they gave to their coworkers. We have no doubt they will continue making a difference for many years to come as physicians.

Bethlehem EMS has always taken pride in watching our clinicians grow and advance throughout their careers. Our commitment to providing high-level clinical care continues to attract motivated clinicians who strive to learn, grow, and lead in healthcare.
