Yesterday, we received the our “NH Barn Trail” sign, delivered by the one and only John Porter, NH barn enthusiast, NH Humanities to Go speaker (The History of Agriculture as Told by Barns), UNH Cooperative Extension Professor/Specialist, Emeritus, and co-author of “Preserving Old Barns.” Nice to see you again, and thank you, John! Here at The Rocks NH you can wander our Gozzo Trail and walk past the historic Sawmill/Pig Pen Barn and visit our exhibitor center in the restored Carriage Barn.
The NH Barn Trail is a curated, statewide initiative highlighting historic New Hampshire barns that are open to the public, featuring farms, museums, and agricultural sites. Managed by the UNH Extension, the trail provides educational opportunities to explore the state’s agricultural history, architecture, and rural landscapes. A webpage and map are expected soon on the UNH Extension’s website. Stay tuned!
