As Musikfest comes to a close, we want to recognize the outstanding work of the City of Bethlehem Fire Department, Special Operations Teams, City of Bethlehem EMS personnel, and our many community partners who worked throughout the festival to help keep our community, visitors, and fellow first responders safe.

Musikfest brings hundreds of thousands of people into Bethlehem and requires a tremendous amount of planning, coordination, and teamwork. Our Fire, EMS, and Special Operations personnel worked long hours in challenging conditions while continuing to provide emergency services throughout the City.

We also extend our sincere appreciation to our community partners, and everyone who worked alongside our public safety personnel. Your cooperation, resources, and support are an essential part of making an event of this size possible.

Thank you to everyone who staffed the festival, responded to emergencies, supported operations, and worked behind the scenes to ensure another safe and successful Musikfest.

Excellent work by everyone involved, and thank you for your dedication to the City of Bethlehem and all those who came to enjoy Musikfest!

🚁 Leave Your Drone at Home – Musikfest is a "No Drone Zone" 🚁

The FBI , in coordination with the Federal Aviation Administration, Department of Homeland Security, and Bethlehem Police Department, have established Musikfest a ‘No Drone Zone’, with a temporary flight restriction (TFR) in place surrounding the festivities.

📅 TFR Schedule

July 30: 5:00 PM – 11:59 PM
July 31 – August 9: 12:00 PM – 11:59 PM daily

Only specially authorized flights such as for law enforcement, emergency response, or with FAA-approved waivers are permitted. Before every flight, drone operators should check for active flight restrictions using an FAA-approved B4UFLY service providers.

The FBI works with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to enforce TFRs, using federally authorized capabilities to detect, track, and assess unauthorized drone activity, with personnel from both agencies deployed full-time to identify drone activity that could threaten aviation safety, critical infrastructure, or publicity safety out or around event venues.

Unauthorized drone use in this area may result in federal penalties or enforcement actions by the FAA, Department of Homeland Security, or Department of Defense.
Our priority is the safety and security of every participant, attendee, employee and fan. Drone operators who follow the rules can help us ensure that Musikfest is a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.

If you spot unsafe drone activity, you can report to 911, on-site law enforcement, or to the FBI by calling 1-800-CALL-FBI.

Prehospital blood is having a positive impact across our region.

Blood products are carried by various providers including City of Bethlehem Paramedics. This allows critical patients to receive lifesaving treatment before they reach the hospital.

This morning, members of the City of Bethlehem Fire Department and Police Department joined together in the community at the Cops n Kids event. We shared a story with the children and cooked up a pancake breakfast for them! The kids had a great time and so did we!!

Recognition and Congratulations to the graduates of the 2026-01 Fire Academy!

The City of Bethlehem Fire Department is proud to introduce you to your newest firefighters - Ryan Cooney, Sandor Paar, Jr., Jason Peters, Kyle Pocheck, Collin Seip, Brandon Shanley, Jason Spiegelman and Nick Wassa.

All of the graduates of the 2026-01 class should be proud of their accomplishments. Embrace this next chapter!

Today Mayor Reynolds administered the oath to three members of the City of Bethlehem Fire Department who were promoted to higher ranks.

Capt. Raymond Alpha - Promoted to Assistant Chief
Lt. Brett Knerr - Promoted to Captain
FF Bernard Smicherko - Promoted to Lieutenant
