Officially less than one week away!!
YWCA Bethlehem is thrilled to welcome back Dr. Durryle Brooks, , scholar, healing practitioner, and founder of Love and Justice Consulting, for two transformative evenings of reflection and learning.
Dr. Brooks is the creator of the Critical Theory of Love, a justice-centered framework shaped by his lived experience as a Black q***r person navigating systems that often confuse control with care. His work calls us to reclaim love as a liberatory force, grounded in empathy, accountability, and collective care. Join us and explore the power of love and justice:
Session 1: Why Love Must Be Critical Thursday, February 26, 2026 | 6:00–8:00 PM This session introduces the Critical Theory of Love, inviting participants to explore how power, systems, and social conditioning shape our understanding and practice of love—both personally and collectively.
Session 2: Practicing a Critical Theory of Love Thursday, April 23, 2026 | 6:00–8:00 PM Participants will apply a six-part Critical Theory of Love framework to their own lives, developing justice-centered practices that deepen connection, accountability, and care, with space for reflection and sustainable self-care.
