An Important Update from AFP Greater Lehigh Valley

Dear AFP Greater Lehigh Valley Community,

After careful consideration, the Board of Directors has made the difficult decision to close the AFP Greater Lehigh Valley Chapter, effective January 1st, 2027.

For many years, our chapter has brought together fundraising professionals to learn, connect, and strengthen philanthropy throughout the Greater Lehigh Valley. We are deeply grateful to every member—past and present—who shared their time, expertise, leadership, and enthusiasm with this community. Your participation made our programs, events, and professional network possible.

We also extend our sincere thanks to the businesses, organizations, and individuals who supported the chapter as sponsors over the years. Your generosity helped us provide meaningful educational opportunities, celebrate excellence in fundraising, and advance ethical and effective philanthropy across our region.

Although the chapter is closing, the relationships, knowledge, and shared commitment cultivated through AFP Greater Lehigh Valley will continue to have an impact. The Board is working out a way to provide programming through another local nonprofit in 2027, so that AFP GLV members can use their benefits right here in the Lehigh Valley. We encourage you to remain connected with one another and to continue engaging with the broader Association of Fundraising Professionals community.

We invite you to join us at our “Cheers to 40 Years” celebration at Olympus on November 19 for our final chapter event as we celebrate the impact that our chapter, its members and philanthropy has had in our community. Please note that attendees must register in advance and be prepared to show ID upon arrival to be in compliance with Olympus visitor guidelines. If you have photos from your time at AFP Greater Lehigh Valley that you would like to be part of the event’s slideshow, please email them to [email protected] .
