Weeded the library garden and tidied up the books in the library today.
Many thanks to Tiffany for tending to the garden and library during the previous two weeks while I was overwhelmed with flood cleanup at my cabin. (And for helping us fill and place sand bags on top of it!❤️) It’s been a tough summer in Beulah might be the understatement of the summer, huh? Shell-shocked kinda describes me these days… sending everyone affected by the fire and floods a big hug.
Many thanks to all the recent book donors- I shelved a lot of interesting new books. Stop by for something new to read. 📚❤️

Meet Tiffany Renee, our newest volunteer. Tiffany is from Pueblo West with family in Beulah. She’s here a couple times a week. Tiffany has kindly volunteered to help me keep the library straightened and the library garden w**ded. If you see Tiffany at the library or working in the garden, please give her a friendly shout out of thanks!

Dear Beulah Book-Lovers,
it’s been a tough couple weeks due to the Aspen Acres Fire and evacuations, hasn’t it? I returned Monday afternoon.

Took a little time this morning before getting back to fire damage clean up to venture out to w**d at the library garden and straighten books.

The library was in good shape- and the gardens beautiful. Shout out to Euince and Vicki for hauling water and watering at the gardens during this drought.

Leaving you with a little beauty in the midst of all the devastation around us.

The library is dusted, swept, and book donations sorted- unfortunately many of this week’s donations arrived with water damage and are headed to recycle.

The library garden is w**ded. There is an infestation of a small green flea beetles on the evening primrose. Looking at organic treatments. Suggestions welcomed!

The yard sign advertising the Beulah Arts Festival was found in the vines back by the bench. Please leave the sign up so we can support the festival.

The library garden is really looking pretty right now and there are many more plants in the library garden getting ready to bloom.
I spent three hours today purging books that have been around a long time, and adding six boxes of new book donations that have been collecting in my garage.

For the second time after a big purge and restock, purged books are headed to a lovely woman named Barb in Las Animas who manages several Little Free Libraries there. SHOUT OUT to Linda Overlin for ferrying the books to her friend Barb this time. Last time, Barb came and got the books.
