The Town Of Beulaville current curfew, which was set to expire at 12 PM today, will expire at 10 AM today. Public works, Beulaville FD, and Beulaville Police Department have made rounds around town and everything appears to be safe. We do have some isolated power outages but nothing which would place the public in danger. We will maintain the State of Emergency until otherwise notified to the public with no active curfews. There are concerns over the next 2 to 3 days regarding rivers and creeks flooding, and additional curfews may be set if public safety becomes a concern.

At the present time, all curfews are lifted for the Town of Beulaville at 10 am today. We will maintain the SOE and will notify the public immediately of any additional curfews over the next few days.

Please be safe, and check on your neighbors.

Hutch Jones, Mayor
Town of Beulaville

Chief Rogers would like to thank the public for all their assistance in identifying a wanted suspect in a breaking and entering case. The suspect has been identified and has been charged and arrested. Without all the phone calls and information this task would not have been possible. Thank you once again.
- Chief J. Rogers

The Duplin Times

Help us help our high school with some much needed equipment! Music plays a vital role in everyone's life in some way or another. These courses in schools help build our youth but sometimes budget restraints do not allow for new and needed equipment. Give them a vote if you can!

East Duplin High School's band class is asking for the public's help: they need votes to win instruments from the Manilow Music Project, a nonprofit started by singer Barry Manilow which has provided schools with over $10 million in musical instruments to date.

So far they've collected about 370 votes, but that won't be enough — the leading schools have received votes in the thousands.

See their short video, entitled "With Love," at the link below. The students and music teacher Thomas Seaman say they would use the $100,000 prize to replace worn out instruments and marching band uniforms that have been in use since the mid-'90s.

Users can vote for the school of their choice once per day through Facebook.
