We are proud to introduce our new Drone Traffic Enforcement Unit (D.T.E.U.).

We’ve officially taken traffic enforcement to new heights.

These drones are equipped with:
• Advanced speed detection radar
• Automatic citation printing
• “Hover & Observe” technology
• And yes… lights and sirens

The unit is also capable of real-time neighborhood and school zone monitoring, allowing for immediate detection and response to speeding violations without the need for traditional traffic stops.

Our new drone unit is already issuing citations across the city. If you hear buzzing above you… check your speed 👀

No need to pull over… it already knows where you live.

We will continue evaluating public reaction to this concept throughout the day. Any resemblance to an actual operational unit is purely coincidental… especially on April 1st.

Officer Waddle took some time out of the day to build relationships with the kids in our community! This is one of the best parts of the job. 💙

Moments like this remind us that policing isn’t just about responding to calls, it’s about being present, building trust, and showing the younger generation that we’re here for them. Whether it’s sharing a laugh, answering questions, or just spending a few minutes talking, these small interactions can make a big difference.

We hope these moments help create positive relationships that last for years to come. 👮‍♀️

🚨 Weather Forecast 🚨

🚨 Weather Forecast 🚨

Isolated strong to severe thunderstorms will develop in Central Texas this afternoon, with more widespread storm development expected to spread from west to east later tonight. All modes of severe weather are possible, along with a risk of heavy rain and localized flooding. Large hail greater than baseballs and damaging winds over 70 mph are the main threats today, but a few tornadoes are also not out of the question. Have multiple ways to receive warnings before you head to bed and be ready to seek shelter if a warning is issued for your area.
